You can change your TextFree number in Settings under Account Info. Standard users can change their number once, while TextFree Plus subscribers can change it freely.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) texts and calls are supported with a TextFree Plus subscription. Without it, you won’t be able to receive verification messages.

When you set up your number, you pick your area code. You can’t choose the exact digits after that, but you get a number that looks like it belongs wherever you are.

TextFree is available to U.S. and Canadian residents while they’re physically in the United States or Canada. If you’re traveling internationally, your account won’t work until you’re back. TextFree accounts cannot be created by international residents.
